Sevilla come into this match on the back of a 5-1 hammering to Eibar in La Liga. Their only match following their 1-1 draw in the first leg of this Copa del Rey round. However, Sevilla’s home form has been solid this season. Losing just once in an eight-goal thriller against Betis just after the New Year. Leganes will need at least a goal if they are going to meet either Barcelona or Valencia in the final and so Sevilla’s defence will need to be tight.
Leganes made it through to the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey after eliminating current La Liga and Champions League holders Real Madrid on away goals. An impressive feat which they will be looking to repeat in this second leg against Sevilla. Leganes haven’t won away from home in La Liga since October and surprisingly their two away wins since then have come from victories over Valladolid and Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey.
