Sevilla vs Valencia Prediction
Sevilla come into this game on the back of some sub-standard performances. They never looked like winning against Barcelona and after losing to Boca in a friendly, they made heavy weather of it away to Deportivo, despite eventually winning 2-3. The midweek defeat to Juventus fully exposed their defensive frailties and the hosts will need to tighten things up from here on in.
Valencia gave a good account of themselves despite losing 2-3 at home to Barcelona. That result was followed by a disappointing 1-1 draw away to Deportivo and they were unlucky not to get anything despite taking the lead in a 2-1 defeat away to Celta Vigo. Valencia have had no problems scoring goals of late but like their hosts, have been prone to defensive lapses.
It’s interesting that Sevilla have lost their last two home matches, given that they are usually pretty solid in front of a their own fans. They’ve shipped 7 goals in 3 matches which has to give Valencia hope, despite their poor record here. Los Ches have played reasonably well without reward of late and are taken to snatch an unlikely point here.
