Serie A preview – Udinese vs AC Milan prediction
Udinese will be without Panagiotis Kone, after the midfielder was sent off for two bookable offences against Empoli on the weekend. Alexander Merkel is also out due to a serious looking knee injury and both Silvan Widmer and Guilherme are likely to be missing with knocks.
Milan still have a number of players unavailable due to injury. Jeremy Menez, M’Baye Niang, Philippe Mexes and new signing Andrea Bertolacci are all expected to miss out. There are also doubts over Ignazio Abate and Juraz Kucka, following the match against Palermo.

Udinese suffered another disappointing result on Saturday evening, as they went down 2-1 at home to Empoli. The fantastic opening day win at Juventus is quickly fading from memory as their season starts to unravel before them. Three straight defeats in Serie A, scoring just 1 goal in the process, is less than ideal preparation for the visit of Milan and with Kone suspended and injuries to a number of players, Udinese are up against it.
Milan twice took the lead against Palermo at the San Siro on the weekend before conceding equalisers. However, the strike by Carlos Bacca in the 75th minute was enough to seal the points and Milan’s second win of the season under Sinisa Mihajlovic. New signing Bacca, now has 3 goals in 4 games and seems to finding his feet in Serie A, which will be a concern for Udinese. That being said, Milan have lost both their away matches this season, which will give the home team some belief they can get a result.
Udinese are struggling to score goals, whereas Milan are both scoring and conceding in equal measure but have picked up a couple of wins. Therefore, Milan have to come in as slight favourites.
