Verona vs Inter Milan Prediction and Preview – 07/02/16
Serie A preview – Verona vs Inter Milan prediction.
Luca Marrone is expected to be fit after receiving treatment following his debut for Verona on Wednesday. Luca Siligardi suffered a knock on his ankle after scoring in the 2-1 victory and coach Luigi Delneri is hopeful the winger will recover in time to play Inter. Midfielder Frederico Viviani is out until later this month with an ankle injury and defender Samuel Souprayen is doubtful as he recovers from a similar problem.
Inter manager Roberto Mancini has a fully fit squad at his disposal but Joao Miranda is suspended after receiving his fifth yellow card in a heated match against Chievo on Wednesday. Mauro Icardi scored his ninth goal of the season to clinch victory in midweek and ended a drought of six games without a goal. The Argentinian is set to start at the weekend and there’s competition among Palacio, Jovetica and Eder as to who will partner the 22-year-old.

Prediction
Bottom of the league Verona have managed two draws and lost 12 times against Inter in 14 previous meetings. The club was in danger of being cut adrift until winning its first league game of the season against Atalanta in midweek. Verona are still four points behind Frosinone in 19th and need to make up ten points on Sampdoria and Genoa to climb out of the relegation zone.
A run of four games without a win left Inter trailing in the title race and facing a battle with Fiorentina and Roma for the third Champions League place. Mancini’s side returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over a dogged Chievo side on Wednesday. For all their recent troubles, Inter have only lost once away from the San Siro this season (2-1 at Napoli).
Inter can build on Wednesday’s victory by pouring more misery on a side that appears to be heading back to Serie B.
