New Watford manager Javi Gracia will be looking for his first win in charge of the Hornets following a goalless draw away to Stoke on Wednesday evening. It’s a tough ask when you’re hosting a Premier League side with the likes of Eden Hazard, Cesc Fàbregas and possibly, new signing Olivier Giroud. However, Watford do have a few things to be positive about. Chelsea suffered an embarrassing 3-0 defeat at home to Bournemouth on Wednesday and although Antonio Conte will be looking for a big reaction from his players on Monday, Watford will take some confidence from this result when they welcome The Blues to Vicarage road.

New loan-signing Gerard Deulofeu will be looking to expand on his positive performance against Stoke and we expect him to keep his place in the side on Monday.

Chelsea will look to bounce back from their blip against Bournemouth and Antonio Conte will be demanding goals. Especially against a Watford side who haven’t scored in four of their last five games. Putting aside Manchester City, it’s tight at the top of the table and Conte will not accept anything but three points here as the Premier League title holders battle it out for a Champions League spot.

Both sides have players out for this match. Chelsea will be without David Luiz and Andreas Christensen who are both ruled out through injury. We expect Gary Cahill to get the nod in defence alongside Antonio Rudiger and Cesar Azpilicueta. Key-man Alvaro Morata is a doubt which could lead the way for new signing Olivier Giroud to make his debut. It is likely Chelsea will also be without midfielder Willian.

Watford have a number of injuries and will be without Heurelho Gomes, Younes Kaboul, Tommie Hoban, Nathaniel Chalobah, Craig Cathcart, Kiko Femina, Will Hughes Molla Wague and Miguel Britos all through injury.
