Black Type bet

Black Type have managed to build a decent reputation for themselves since the launch of their online betting website back in 2016. It is a very competitive market and it can be difficult to make an impression, so fair play to them for standing out a even little bit against the big boys.

The sportsbook is a great place to start, and there are plenty of markets listed for a range of different sports. As well as the sportsbook, there is a lot on offer on the casino section of the site, including all of your favourite slots and roulette games.

How to claim a free bet with Black Type bet

As I had never opened a betting account with Black Type before, I was able to claim the Black Type sports welcome offer. By signing up for an account, I could then deposit £10 for a chance to get a £5 sports free bet if my first real money bet loses plus a £5 casino bonus whatever happens.

By placing the first bet with my own money, Black Type would give me a refund of half of my £10 stake as a free bet if my first bet was to lose, providing that the bet was placed at odds of at least 2.0. As I knew I was going to get a free bet anyway if my bet lost, it meant I could look for a higher odds bet if I wished to.

I took it as almost a free hit to try and win a decent amount from the free bet. My first bet did lose and the free bet refund was paid into my Black Type account within 24 hours of the bet settling as a loser. It was then valid for 14 days.

The £5 casino bonus was credited within 24 hours too, and was valid for 30 days.

What does Black Type sports offer?

So far I have found betting on the Black Type website to be a positive experience. The design of the site is fairly good albeit rather basic. It seems as if they have gone for function rather than look. The site has a colour scheme of mainly black and white.

I spent the majority of my time on the sportsbook as I am more into sports betting as opposed to casino. The sportsbook actually has betting markets available on over 20 sports, which had plenty of variation. These sports range from the more popular sports like football, horse racing and tennis right through to lower interest sports like volleyball and handball.

I found that the number of markets available for each event was dependant on how much general interest there was in that sport. Top football matches such as Premier League football matches often have over 40 markets, while events from lower interest sports often are limited to less markets, such as a handball match of Savehof v Malmo limited to just 1×2 betting.

Football betting is fairly comprehensive, and I found plenty of betting opportunities available across leagues and competitions from all around the globe. Some of the most popular markets include 1×2, Both Teams To Score, Win and Both Teams To Score and Over/Under 2.5 Goals.

Horse racing is relatively well covered, with markets listed for plenty of flat, National Hunt and All-Weather meetings from the UK and Ireland. Ante Post odds are listed for some future races too.

Tennis matches usually have a good number of markets. There are a decent level of markets for the smaller tournaments and more for the Grand Slam tournaments.

I was able to take advantage of the cash out feature, as I could end my bet for a profit before the event had even finished. This was really useful for accumulator betting when a few of my selections had won.

How Black Type sports odds compare

Odds can be considered to be very competitive on the Black Type site. The best odds can be found in various places. I found that there was good value on some high profile events, such as the Super Sunday Premier League football matches.

Top industry odds are often available on UK and Irish horse racing. A good tip is that extra value can be found through the Best Odds Guaranteed offer, which is available for all UK and Irish Greyhound racing. This means that if you back a greyhound and the starting price (SP) is bigger, Black Type will pay you out at the bigger odds.

Black Type bookmakers In-play betting

In play betting seems to be fairly prominent on the Black Type website and has its own tab at the top of the page. When I clicked on the in-play tab, I was given the full list of sports that had in-play markets available. These included tennis, snooker and volleyball.

Exactly how many in-play events were available was completely dependant on which sport it was. For example, a football match that was ongoing in the AFC Asian Cup had 34 markets available, while a snooker match in the Championship League had 10 markets available.

The number of in-play tennis markets listed was dependant on the event it was in. Games from the Challenger in Marbella had 14 markets listed, while a match in from Antalya was limited to just match betting.

Some selected supporting stats are listed too, such as how many corners and cards there have been in a football match. This was really helpful as I was able to make more informed decisions when placing my bets.

Black Type bet live streaming sports

At the time of writing, live streaming was not currently available on the site. This may change in the future, and the lack of a live streaming video service really does let the website down at the moment.

If Black Type Bet were to introduce a live streaming service then it would be a huge boost for the site and its members.

How to sign up and deposit on Black Type Bet

Before I was able to go about claiming the Black Type bookmakers sign up offer, I needed to make a deposit into my Black Type account. I need to point out that I am betting from the UK, and any payment methods I will be discussing here might only be relevant for others that are in the UK too.

When I logged in for the first time and clicked on the Deposit button next to my balance, I was taken to the deposit page and shown the payment options. There were far less deposit options than some of the other big bookies, with the only deposit options via either credit or debit cards, such as Visa, Visa Electron, Maestro and MasterCard.

I choose to use a debit card to deposit rather than a credit card, as it was just the easiest way all around. My card details were saved by Black Type to make it that much easier for next time I wanted to deposit too, which was a big help when I needed to deposit funds quickly.

Payments from both credit and debit cards were processed immediately, which meant that the funds were there to place on any bets straight away. There were no fees involved with any of the payment methods either, which was helpful. The minimum deposit for card payments was £10, which is higher than some other bookies that list £5 as the minimum amount.

Withdrawing funds had to be done with the same payment method as my deposits were made with for legal reasons, which wasn’t a problem at all considering the relative lack of payment methods. The minimum withdrawal amount is £10.

How to get help from Black Type bookmakers

When looking into the customer service options available on the site, there weren’t as many as other bookies have. If you need any help with anything to do with the Black Type free bet, there is only email support available.

Black Type do not currently have telephone support and Live Chat support which is a major negative for the site. To contact a customer service representative, head to the contact us page and fill in the contact form with your query.

If you have an complaint that has not been properly settled by the Black Type bookmaker review team, you can contact IBAS (Independent Betting Adjudication Service) to escalate a complaint.
