Hamburger SV vs Werder Bremen Prediction and Preview – 22/04/16
Bundesliga preview – Hamburger SV vs Werder Bremen prediction.
Hamburg goalkeeper Rene Adler was sent off at Dortmund at the weekend and will be replaced by Jaroslav Drobny while he serves a one-match suspension. Midfielders Nicolai Muller and Albin Ekdal picked up injuries during the 3-0 defeat and are likely absentees on Friday while striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga is also struggling to be fit after his first-half substitution with a knee problem. Gideon Jung is back in training after complaining of a back problem and could be called into first team action for the first time in six weeks.
Viktor Skripnik could keep the same starting lineup that gave Werder Bremen their first win in five games on Saturday. It would mean veteran striker Claudio Pizarro starting ahead of Anthony Ujah and central defender Papy Djilobodji having to bide his time before reclaiming his place after returning from suspension. Midfielder Philipp Bargfrede is yet to return to training following a knee injury in January and centre-forward Aron Johannsson is out for the season with a hip injury.
