Hannover 96 welcome Hiroki Sakai back to the right side of defence. This would mean Oliver Sorg switching to the left back position and Miiko Albornoz having to settle for a spot on the bench. Other than that Michael Frontzeck could name an unchanged side.
Werder Bremen continue to have Felix Kroos in defensive midfield with Philipp Bargfrede still suspended. Fin Bartels however returns from suspension in timely fashion to replace the injured Aron Johannsson who has led the line for Bremen this season. Claudio Pizarro returns to the bench.
