Hoffenheim v Borussia Dortmund Prediction and Preview – 23/09/15
Bundesliga preview – Hoffenheim v Borussia Dortmund prediction
Hoffenheim may choose to adopt a more defensive 4-2-3-1 given the calibre of opposition. Markus Gisdol could use Kevin Volland’s pace on the right with Sebastian Rudy playing off Eduardo Vargas. Jonathan Schmid may be rewarded with a role on the left after impressive substitute appearances. The biggest decision will be Vargas, Kuranyi or Uth to lead the line.
Borussia Dortmund are likely to keep Sokratis at centre back keeping Subotic on the bench. Marco Reus will be fit enough to start with the unfortunate Jonas Hofmann missing out, even after his goal at the weekend. Thomas Tuchel may keep Marco Reus in reserve but everyone knows the talents he possesses.
Possible Line-ups
Hoffenheim: 4-2-3-1 formation: Baumann; Kaderabek, Sule, Schar, Kim; Schwegler, Polanski; Volland, Rudy, Schmid; Vargas
Borussia Dortmund: 4-1-4-1 formation: Burki; Ginter, Sokratis, Hummels, Schmelzer; Weigl; Reus, Gundogan, Kagawa, Mkhitaryan; Aubameyang

Prediction
Hoffenheim find themselves winless this season and 15th in the Bundesliga table. Both their previous games have resulted in 3-1 defeats to Mainz and Werder Bremen and it is difficult to see anything other than more misery in this one for Hoffenheim.
Dortmund on the other hand are top of the table, got their Champions League campaign off to a winning start and welcome back Marco Reus. All Dortmund’s games so far this campaign have featured over 2.5 goals so that looks like a safe bet.
We have gone for a clear Dortmund victory here and a difficult evening ahead for Hoffenheim. Dortmund have been good defensively and with Marco Reus returning he may be looking to make a statement ahead of the national team qualifiers next month.
