- Over the course of their previous 10 matches, Hamburg have scored an average of 0.4 goals and conceded an average of 2.2
- There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 5 of Bremen’s previous 10 matches
- There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 5 of Hamburg’s previous 10 matches
- Hamburg have lost six of their last seven at Bremen with their last away victory against them being in December 2007
Bremen in comparison to recent seasons have had a fairly respectable campaign, currently placed 10th in the league and in no real danger of being relegated. Bremen are currently on a 4 match winless streak which is the longest under current boss Viktor Skripnik. They will however be given the extra motivation to pick up a win playing at home to Hamburg in a match where a big rivalry exists between the two clubs.
Hamburg without a doubt have more to play for and it is possible we could see the new manager effect take place and Hamburg pick up some key results in their battle to stay in the top flight. They have however looked very uninspiring throughout the season and Labbadia will have to work some magic if they are to stay up. This time last week I would have predicted a Bremen win however with Hamburg making a managerial change the game could be a lot closer than first expected.
