Wolfsburg vs CSKA Moscow Prediction and Preview – 15/09/15
Champions League preview – Wolfsburg vs CSKA Moscow prediction
Wolfsburg kick off their second UEFA Champions League campaign in the very same way that they began their first – with a home match against CSKA Moscow. The German side beat CSKA in first ever UEFA Champions League fixture on 15 September 2009. Grafite hit a hat-trick for Armin Veh’s hosts, Alan Dzagoev scoring for a CSKA team coached by Juande Ramos.
The host team won’t want to underestimate its opponent who have been flying in Russian championship although they have slipped in the last couple of games. Dieter Hecking’s men will do their best to win its first home game taking in account that their second game is against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Prediction
Wolfsburg could name an unchanged XI from the side that were held to a frustrating 0:0 draw at the weekend, although manager Dieter Hecking could recall Vieirinha to the starting fold if he has recovered in time. The Russian side could revert back to 4-2-3-1 for the trip to Germany having used this formation in seven of their eight matches so far this season. Ahmed Musa could miss out after Seydou Doumbia impressed last time out.
The visitors did not appear to pick up any fresh injury concerns at the weekend and they will be looking for an improved Champions League campaign this time around having finished bottom of their group in the last two seasons.
