Getafe vs Real Sociedad Prediction and Preview – 11/12/15
La Liga preview – Getafe vs Real Sociedad prediction
Getafe may be without midfielder Juan Rodriguez who limped out of the Copa del Rey tie after 29 minutes at Rayo Vallecano last week. Emiliano Buendia suffered a knee injury when coming on as substitute in the home win against Villareal and is unlikely to feature again before the New Year. Alvaro Medrin is recovering from a shin problem that will keep him out until February.
Real Sociedad midfielder Ruben Pardo is suspended but could be out for a few games longer due to a hamstring injury. David Zurutuza is awaiting the all clear after straining thigh muscles at the end of October. Imanol Agirretxe will be looking to add to his goal tally, the 28-year-old is on course for his best ever season having scored 11 in 12 games so far.

Prediction
Getafe’s bid to avoid the drop has been helped by some fine home form. Fran Escriba’s side has been rock solid since losing their opening home game, winning four out of six subsequent league games on home soil. Getafe belied their league position when defeating fifth-placed Villareal 2-0 at the Coliseum in the last home game and can go above Real Sociedad if they win on Friday.
Real Sociedad have never been a team to back with confidence when on the road, although wins at relegation-threatened Granada and Levante mean they have equaled their tally for the whole of last season. The 2-0 defeat at bottom dwellers Las Palmas last month was more typical of results when away from their Basque homeland despite the efforts of their in-form striker.
Real Sociedad’s possession football could play into the hands of Getafe who prefer to counter attack, a tactic which has paid off handsomely at home.
