Sevilla vs Rayo Vallecano Prediction and Preview – 26/09/15
Spanish La Liga preview – Sevilla Vs Rayo Vallecano prediction
Unai Emery is in the midst of an injury crisis missing many regulars like Ever Banega, Nico Pareja and Adil Rami. Emery may opt for a four-man midfield once again despite picking up no points against Las Palmas. There could be a case for the inclusion of Fernando Llorente and Kevin Gameiro.
For Rayo Vallecano, summer signing Pablo Hernandez is still a doubt due to injury. There are doubts on the availability of Patrick Ebert and Ze Castro too. Javi Guerra could retain his place up top for Paco Jemez’s side. With the side cobbling together some form, there may not be many changes.
Possible Line-ups
Sevilla: 4-4-2 formation: Rico; Tremoulinas, Andreoli, Kolodziejczak, Coke; Vitolo, N’Zonzi, Krychowiak, Reyes; Llorente, Gameiro
Rayo Vallecano: 4-2-3-1 formation: Tono; Rat, Amaya, Llorente, Nacho; Baena, Trashorras; Bebe, Jozabed, Embarba; Guerra

Prediction
One of the pre-season favourites, Sevilla, is in the midst of a wretched form. Emery’s men are yet to pick up a win in the season with three losses inviting pressure from the home side fans. Adding to the pressure is the fact that they are to secure a positive result at home this season. The Ramon Sanchez Puzjuan was a fortress for Sevilla last season and Emery would like the fear factor to come back.
Rayo Vallecano has stitched two consecutive wins against newly promoted sides – Sporting Gijon and Las Palmas, in their last two rounds. The visitors built their game around possession and are among the top five teams with most possession in the league. They would look to cash in on their momentum.
No one would have predicted that Sevilla would be rooted to the bottom of the league table after 5 games. If Emery wants the weight off his shoulders, he would do well to start against Rayo. It won’t be easy, though, and we could be in a for a scrappy win for the hosts.
