Serie A preview – Bologna vs Frosinone prediction

Luca Rizzo misses out for Bologna due to suspension but defender Marios Oikonomou is now available and should slot in to the back four. Emanuele Giaccherini, Godfred Donsah and Matteo Brighi will all miss the game with injury.

Frosinone manager Roberto Stellone will have to make do without Robert Gucher and Massimiliano Carlini who are both injured. Forward Nicolas Castillo is available again but may have to settle for a place on the substitutes bench.

Prediction

To say it’s been a poor start to the Serie A season, for both these teams, is some what of an understatement. Both teams have failed to get off the mark and start this match in the relegation zone.

Bologna have faced two tricky away matches so far and lost at both Lazio and Sampdoria. However, it’s the 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Sassuolo that will be the biggest disappointment plus the fact the team have managed to score just 1 goal in three games. Frosinone have also netted on just one occasion this season and have found things tough, having been promoted from Serie B.

Despite the fact it’s still early in the season, neither team can afford to come away from this game with nothing to show for it. This could lead to a cagey affair, with a single goal possibly being enough to decide things in favour of the home team.
