Sampdoria vs Inter Prediction and Preview – 04/10/15
Serie A preview – Sampdoria vs Inter prediction
Sampdoria still have a number of players out injured, including Lorenzo De Silvestri, Mattia Cassani and Matias Silvestre. Therefore, the players are likely to be the same which played at Atalanta on Monday night but there could be a change in role for Roberto Soriano and Carlos Correa.
Having been sent off against Fiorentina last week, Inter defender Miranda will be forced to sit this one out. With Nemanja Vidic still injured, Andrea Ranocchia could come in to the team and partner Gary Medel at the back. Further forward, Stevan Jovetic is injured and could be replaced by Adam Ljajic.
Possible Line-ups
Sampdoria: 4-3-1-2 formation: Viviano; Pereira, Moisander, Zukanovic, Mesbah; Fernando, Soriano, Barreto; Correa; Muriel, Eder
Inter Milan: 4-3-3 formation: Handanovic; Santon, Medel, Ranocchia, Telles; Kondogbia, Melo, Guarin; Ljajic, Icardi, Perisic

Prediction
Sampdoria’s season can be split between home and away form, with home results being good but work needs to be done to transfer that to games on the road. However, as this game is at home, Sampdoria will be confident they can hand Inter their second Serie A defeat of the season. So far, Sampdoria have beaten Carpi, Roma and Bologna at home, scoring 9 goals in the process. Walter Zenga will want to get their season back on track before the international break with a win.
Inter tasted defeat for the first time this season as they went down 4-1 at home to Fiorentina. This was a real wake-up call for Roberto Mancini’s team, who had been winning their games by the odd goal up to that point. A trip to Genoa to play Sampdoria is not the ideal fixture for a team who are looking to recover from a sizeable defeat at home and this will be a real test of Inter’s title credentials.
One 4-1 defeat at home to Fiorentina, does not make Inter a bad team. However, they went down 1-0 at Sampdoria last season and the hosts play their best football in their own stadium. Sampdoria will fancy their chances of taking all three points but may have to settle for one.
