Bundesliga preview – Eintracht Frankfurt v Hertha Berlin prediction

Eintracht Frankfurt will still be without Carlos Zambrano who is suffering with broken ribs and David Abraham could start. The defensive unit is also missing Timothy Chandler at right back with Aleksandar Ignjovski continuing to fill in. Up front Haris Seferovic may be the victim of Frankfurt’s failiure to score in their last two with Stefan Aigner being given a chance.

Hertha Berlin will again start with Rune Jarstein as Thomas Kraft misses out with injury. The injury list for Hertha is long and Niklas Stark is again forced to fill in at centre back alongside Lustenberger. Salomon Kalou and Vedad Ibisevic will hope to link up and create some chances in attack.

Possible Line-ups

Frankfurt: 4-3-1-2 formation: Hradecky; Ignjovski, Abraham, Russ, Oczipka; Hasebe, Reinartz, Stendera; Meier; Aigner, Castaignos

Hertha: 4-2-3-1 formation: Jarstein; Weiser, Stark, Lustenberg, Plattenhardt; Darida, Skjelbred; Haraguchi, Kalou, Stocker; Ibisevic

Prediction

Frankfurt sit 12th in the Bundesliga with 8 points from their 6 games so far this season. They have played their last 2 games away from home, failing to score in both after scoring 10 in the games against Koln and Stuttgart. Now back at home for this game Frankfurt will hope to get back amongst the goals and will be looking to their frontline for inspiration.

Hertha Berlin sit 5th in the table with 10 points and even though they have lost their last two away games, losing at Wolfsburg and Dortmund will not be the story of their season. Ibisevic scored both goals in their 2-0 midweek game at home to Koln and with the added support of Kalou Hertha look to have a promising season ahead, but will hope for an improvement to away days in this one.

We have gone for Frankfurt to continue their impressive home form and get back among the goals. Ibisevic will provide quality up front for Hertha with Luc Castaignos hoping to find the net again.
