Monaco vs Tottenham Prediction and Preview – 01/10/15
Europa League preview – Monaco vs Tottenham prediction
Monaco will have to make do without Helder Costa, who is injured for this game. Defender Almamy Toure is also doubtful but could make the team at right-back if fit. Joao Moutinho may make a return having not played at all on the weekend and Jeremy Toulalan may also start the match in midfield.
Mauricio Pochettino will probably look to make use of his squad for the trip to the principality. The likes of Michel Vorm, Kevin Wimmer, Danny Rose and Kieran Trippier may all come in to make up the back-line for Spurs. Andros Townsend and Clinton N’jie may also get the opportunity to start.

Prediction
Monaco took a point from their opening Europa League match at Anderlecht a couple of weeks ago and will be looking to build on that in their first home game. The club have had a mixed start to the season but despite the home defeat to Lorient a couple of weeks ago, have steadied the ship a bit. With 1 defeat in their last 5 games, Monaco could be hard to beat.
Spurs come in to this match off the back of a great performance in beating Manchester City 4-1 at the weekend. Having secured 3 points from their opening match against Qarabag at White Hart Lane, Pochettino will know that a positive result here, against their main rivals in the group, will go a long way to ensuring progression to the knock-out stages.
Monaco have struggled at home this season in the domestic league but won both of their Champions League qualifying games and are generally good in European competition on their own patch. The fact that Spurs may rest a number of first choice players will also give them a chance and the home team may come away with maximum points.
