Europa League predictions

It is no secret that the UEFA Champions League is Europe’s premier football club  competition. However, there is one European competition that is growing in popularity and that is the Europa League. There is plenty of reason to take the competition seriously as well, due to the fact that not only is a European trophy on offer, but there is also a place in the Champions League for the next season too.

Domestic trophies are great, but there is a lot to be said for the prestige of a European competition. There have been some fantastic teams in the Europa League over the last few seasons, so it is becoming a more popular competition overall. This includes sides that have been regulars in the Champions League, such as Arsenal and AC Milan.

In order to make the competition even more interesting, Europa League predictions can be followed which give you the best chance of finding a winning bet. We will be following the tournament right through the entire season, from the qualifying rounds in early June and July right through to the final.

Europa League betting provides plenty of options to find a winner, as there are so many different markets to choose from. On each of our published tip pages we provide Europa League tips for four different markets; Match Odds, Over/Under 2.5 Goals, Correct Score and Both Teams To Score. The Match Odds prediction gives you a tip as to whether we believe one of the two sides involved will win the game or whether we believe it will be a draw. It is good to remember that if the game is in the knockout stages of the tournament then selections in the Match Odds market will only count up until 90 minutes. For example, if a match between Arsenal and AC Milan in the final was a draw after 90 minutes but Milan went on to win after Extra Time, ‘Draw’ would be the winning selection in the Match Odds market.

Over/Under 2.5 Goals will provide a prediction on whether or not we believe there will be 3 or more goals in the match. The Europa League predictions often go the way of ‘Yes’ here, as teams tend to be more open when playing on the European stage. There are so many excellent attacking players involved too, which naturally leads to more goals being scored.

Correct Score is another market that we offer Europa League predictions for. Here, we will provide a tip for what we believe the final score of a match is going to be. The last of our Europa League predictions markets is Both Teams To Score, which will come in the form of a simple ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ selection. We will analyse both sides as a whole and make a judgement call on whether or not we believe both sides will find the back of the net during 90 minutes.

As well as all of the great football predictions, we also provide tips pages for a few other popular sports too. This includes horse racing and golf. For example, for a big horse racing meeting or race such as the Grand National or Gold Cup, we will select a likely winner. For Golf tournaments such as the US Open or the Masters, the outright winner of selected tournaments is usually the tip.

Live streaming is also available for certain events too. This is easy to find, as you simply need to go to the Live Streaming tab at the top of the page. You will be able to find direct links to certain events, which will take you to the Bet365 website. If you have a funded Bet365 account, then you may be able to watch the events.

Europa League betting tips

We will always look to help you find a winning bet through our Europa League betting tips. The Europa League is one of the most interesting competitions in the whole of football, as it has such a diverse history.  It was first introduced as the UEFA Cup, which replaced its predecessor the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup. In 2009, the name of the event was changed to the UEFA Europa League, which also changed the format of the competition to involve a group stage.

The first UEFA Cup final in 1972 was actually played out between two English sides, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur with Spurs winning the trophy in the end. English success would continue the next year, as Liverpool dominated the 1973 final and took home the honours. In terms of English winners of the competition, Liverpool would go on to win again in 1976 and 2001.

Ipswich Town won the trophy under the great Bobby Robson in 1981 defeating AZ of The Netherlands, while Tottenham won again in 1984, edging past Belgian side Anderlecht. In recent years, Chelsea won the competition under Rafa Benitez in 2013, while Manchester United claimed the crown in 2017.

Some English sides have come very close but then fallen at the final hurdle. This includes Tottenham in 1974, Arsenal in 2000, Middlesbrough in 2006, Fulham in 2010 and Liverpool in 2016. A few Scottish sides have also missed out in the final. Dundee United in 1987, Celtic in 2003 and Rangers in 2008.

The side with the most wins in the competition’s history are Sevilla with 5, having dominated the competition in the last few years. To put things into perspective, they only won their first in 2006. Internazionale, Juventus and Liverpool have all won it 3 times having success at different periods of time.
