Unfortunately for Chievo’s Federico Mattiello, he faces another spell on the sidelines and joins Mariano Izco on the injury list. Midfielder Perparim Hetemaj is struggling to make it and if he fails to do so, his place in the team could go to Ivan Radovanovic.
Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri only has one doubt ahead of the trip to Verona and that’s Dries Mertens. However, even if the Belgian is passed fit, Sarris is likely to keep faith with the starting XI which has been doing the business in Serie A over recent months.

Prediction
Chievo come in to this game, having won just one of their last six in Serie A. After starting the season in great style, defeating Lazio 4-0 and also holding Juventus to a 1-1 draw in Turin, Chievo have struggled to win matches, with the 1-0 home win over Torino being their only victory since the end of August. However, Chievo have lost just one of their four home matches this season, which was a 1-0 reverse at the hands of Inter.
Napoli have been absolutely flying, in both Serie A and the Europa League. They are undefeated in their last ten matches and have won their last five games in a row. It’s not as if these games have all been against teams which Napoli would always be favourites to win, with excellent victories over the likes of Juventus, AC Milan and Fiorentina. Scoring goals is not a problem and Napoli would probably back themselves to outscore the majority of their opponents in Serie A at the moment.
Napoli arrive in Verona as favourites and should hand Chievo their second home defeat of the season.
