Prediction
Considering the fact that Carpi have not won a Serie match this season, it was little surprise to see the manager receiving his marching orders this week. However, having brought the club up to Serie A, Castori would have expected more time. That being said, not only have Carpi not won a match, they have also conceded 15 goals in 6 games, 5 of which came at Roma last weekend. Therefore, it’s not a shock to see them at the bottom of the Serie A table heading in to this match. However, a fresh face in the changing room, may inspire the players to a new level.
By playing this match on Saturday, Torino have the opportunity to move to the top of the Serie A table, at least until the following day. Form has been good in Serie A this season, losing just 1 match in 6 but that did come in their last away match, which was at Chievo. In fact, it’s Torino’s away form which has prevented them from being top of the table, having won 1, drawn 1 and lost 1 of their 3 games on the road.
When a club appoints a new manager, it can engineer an immediate response and Torino will be aware of that. However, Carpi have shown no real signs of being able to defeat a team like Torino and the visitors will expect finish this match top of the Serie A table, despite the injury problems.
