Chievo have two injury concerns ahead of the meeting with Verona and they are Mariano Izco and Paul-Jose M’Poku, who are both going to miss out. However, there is little stopping manager Rolando Maran, from selecting the same team which picked up a point at Sassuolo.

Verona have major concerns in attack, with at least four players out including Giampaolo Pazzini, Luca Siligardi, Juanito Gomez and Luca Toni.

Chievo come in to this match having lost just 1 game in Serie A so far this season. There have been good wins over the likes of Lazio, Torino and Empoli and also draws against Juventus and Sassuolo. Therefore, Chievo have been more than holding their own against some good teams and will feel confident of defeating their local rivals.

Verona have endured a less than impressive start to the season and join Carpi as the only teams in the league, who have yet to record a win. That being said, Verona have not been getting beaten easily and have held the likes of Atalanta, Torino and Roma to draws. However, the loss of a number of players to injury will not help their cause in this game.

Derby games can often throw up shock results but considering the overall form of the teams and the personnel available to them, Chievo have to be favourites for the win.
