Verona vs Lazio Prediction and Preview – 27/09/15
Serie A preview – Verona vs Lazio prediction
With main striker Luca Toni already out with an injury, the news that Giampaolo Pazzini may also miss this match is unwelcome for Verona. However, the good news could be the return to the team of midfielder Emil Hallfredsson, as Andrea Mandorlini looks to keep things fresh.
Similarly to their hosts, Lazio also have problems in the striker department as Alessandro Matri has now joined Miroslav Klose on the injury list. Thankfully for Stefano Pioli, Filip Djordjevic is back in contention and having scored a goal in mid-week, will be in confident mood. Midfielder Lucas Biglia is also in contention to play some part in the match.
Possible Line-ups
Verona: 4-3-3 formation: Rafael; Pisano, Bianchetti, Moras, Souprayen; Hallfredsson, Greco, Viviani; Gomez, Jankovic, Siligardi
Lazio: 4-2-3-1 formation: Marchetti; Basta, Mauricio, Gentiletti, Radu; Parolo, Biglia; Lulic, Anderson, Milinkovic; Djordjevic

Prediction
Verona join Carpi and Frosinone as the only teams who have yet to record a win in Serie A this season. Having said that, Verona have only lost 2 of their 5 matches, picking up 3 points in total. The team have yet to keep a clean-sheet this season and until they do so, may find winning matches difficult. However, they are unbeaten at home in 2015/16 and will want to continue that run of form.
Lazio recovered from their 5-0 thrashing at Napoli by defeating Genoa 2-0 at home on Wednesday night. In addition to the win, both Filip Djordjevic and Felipe Anderson got their first goals of the season and will be hoping it’s the start of a run of goal scoring form for the pair. That being said, it may be the defensive side of Lazio’s game which really needs improving, having conceded 9 goals in just 2 Serie A away matches this season.
Although Lazio are favourites for this game, their away form has been suspect and Verona are unbeaten at home this season. Therefore, this match could be much closer than it would initially seem.
