Levante vs Eibar Prediction and Preview – 23/09/15
Spanish La Liga preview – Levante vs Eibar prediction
The hosts are still missing David Navarro through injury. Simao Mate will be serving the final game of his ban and would not be available for selection. In the last round, Levante battled well against Barcelona and the score line of 4-1 doesn’t do justice to their work. There are changes to be expected up front with Nabi Ghilas and Deyverson joining up once again.
For the visitors, Antonio Luna is struggling with an injury and could be replaced by Junca at left-back. Escalante is a yellow card away from a ban but is an important player and should start nevertheless. Irureta is fit and available for contention but should be fighting with Riesgo for a starting berth.
Levante: 3-5-2 formation: Martinez; Feddal, Trujillo, Juanfran; Tono, Camarasa, Verza, Mari, Lopez; Ghilas, Deyverson
Eibar: 4-5-1 formation: Riesgo; Luna, Dos Santos, Ramis, Capa; Berjon, Escalante, Garcia, Adrian, Keko; Enrich
- Levante failed to win their last 8 matches in La Liga
- Levante have not lost to Eibar in their last 6 matches in all competitions
- Eibar failed to win 11 of their last 12 away matches in La Liga
- Levante are undefeated in their last 6 matches against Eibar in all competitions
- Levante have scored at least 2 goals in their last 3 matches against Eibar in all competitions
Levante are yet to register a win this campaign for the first 4 matches. Though they kept Barcelona at bay in the first half, in the last round, they eventually lost 4-1. Scoring goals has been a huge problem for the hosts. In their last 10 matches, they scored more than 1 goal only once, in all competitions.
Eibar started the campaign well but have slightly slowed down with the visitors winless in last three games. The Basque club is still going strong but would not want to lose further momentum. Their recent record against Levante doesn’t make good reading but the hosts are in the midst of a tough start to the campaign.
It would be an interesting match between two teams which are struggling for goals. Eibar is slightly better with their defence conceding less in the last 10 matches. This could be a scrappy draw.
