Manchester United take on Feyenoord in the Europa League on Thursday. Read the match predictions to find out why a home win is the betting tip at Old Trafford. Man Utd come into this game on the back of a 1-1 draw at home to Arsenal while Feyenoord beat PEC Zwolle 3-0 at home.

Manchester United vs Feyenoord Preview

Man Utd are still without injured defenders Chris Smalling and Eric Bailly while left-back Luke Shaw faces a late fitness test. Marouane Fellaini is also doubtful and Bastian Schweinsteiger is not eligible in this competition. Jose Mourinho will name his strongest available squad, with Paul Pogba and Juan Mata pulling the strings in midfield and Zlatan Ibrahimovic leading the line.

Feyenoord welcome back Brad Jones and Karim El Ahmadi from their respective injuries for this tricky away tie. Eric Botteghin is suspended after being sent off against Zorya which could mean Terence Kongolo moving to centre-back and Lucas Woudenberg coming in on the left. Kenneth Vermeer and Sven van Beek are still out injured, so Giovanni van Bronckhorst has limited options here.

Manchester United vs Feyenoord Prediction

Manchester United were very unlucky to draw with Arsenal at the weekend, having had the Gunners at arms-length for much of the game. Their last match in this competition was a 2-1 defeat away to Fenerbahce, where two world-class goals from the Turkish side left them shell-shocked. United recovered to win 1-3 away at Swansea on their penultimate start and are favourites here.

Feyenoord had a bit of a wobble before the international break when they drew 2-2 at home to Heerenveen before being held to a 1-1 draw at Zorya and losing 1-0 away to Go Ahead Eagles. Their latest win means they remain top of the Eredivisie but this will be a tough match for the Dutch side.

The Red Devils can’t afford to slip up here and anything but a win will dramatically reduce their chances of qualifying for the knockout round. They’ve only lost once at home in all competitions this season while Feyenoord are yet to win away in the Europa League. United should win this but it could be a nervy night at Old Trafford.
