Sporting appear to be in turmoil after the club President threatened to suspend most of the first team at the weekend. His threat failed to materialise but leaves a cloud hanging over the club at present.

Leading scorer Bas Dost and experienced defender Fabio Coentrao are suspended for Thursday’s game after totting up too many yellow cards. Fredy Montero is expected to come in for Dost while Bruno Cesar can cover the full back position if given the all clear from the medics.
