Hertha Berlin vs Hoffenheim Prediction and Preview – 22/11/15
Bundesliga preview – Hertha Berlin vs Hoffenheim prediction
Hertha Berlin manager Pal Dardini may be forced to change the side that won away to Hannover 96 before the international break. Doubts about the fitness of Mitchell Weiser could mean Valentin Stocker gets to play on the left wing in preference to Tolga Cigerci. Peter Pekarik’s continued absence means Yanni Regasel will retain his place at right back. Front man Vedad Ibsevic is working off his ban so Salomon Kalou will continue as the lone striker.
Hoffenheim midfielder Pirmin Schwegler picked up his fifth yellow card in the 0-0 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt and will be replaced by Eugen Polanski. Coach Hubb Stevens has options at right back with Jeremy Tolijan and Pavel Kaderabek competing for a place which coul d to see Tobias Strobl taking up a defensive midfield role.
Possible Line-ups
Hertha Berlin: 4-2-3-1 formation: Jarstein; Regasel, Langkamp, Brooks, Plattenhardt; Lustenberger, Skjelbred; Haraguchi, Darida, Stocker; Kalou
Hoffenheim: 4-4-2 formation: Baumann; Tolijan, Sule, Bicakcic, Kim; Rudy, Strobl, Polanski, Schmid; Volland, Vargas

Prediction
Hertha Berlin are one of the surprise packages this season and currently occupy fourth place in the Bundesliga. They have won four of the last six games and although they lost heavily to Monchengladbach in the last home game, it’s hard to see a repeat of 5-0 defeat in this fixture last season.
Hoffenheim had a woeful start to the campaign taking seven games to register their solitary win to date, 3-1 at Augsburg. Stevens was appointed manager late last month and has managed to stabilise the defence, albeit with 0-0 draws in both games and Hoffenheim have now gone three games without scoring. There is no doubting the potential of forwards Kevin Volland and Eduardo Vargas and it’s up to Stevens to bring out the best in both men if Hoffenheim are to climb away from the relegation zone.
Expect this game to be a lot closer than the table suggests and could easily finish all square.
