Europa League football tips – Dortmund v AC Wolfsberger Prediction

Dortmund manager Tomas Tuchel has plenty talent at his disposal and given his assurances that Sven Bender has a role to play for the club this season we can expect changes from the XI that took to the field in Austria last week. Shinji Kagawa and Gonzalo Castro will both be hopeful of a starting berth but one is likely to miss out.

Wolfsberger are likely to line up in the same manner as last week, opting for a lone forward and a defensive anchorman to try and quell the midfield quality possessed by Dortmund. An admirable 1-0 defeat last week is likely to convince manager Dietmar Kuhbauer that the same XI is the best route to take upon visiting Westfalenstadion.

Possible Line-ups

Dortmund: 4-2-3-1 Formation: Burki; Piszczek, Papastathopolous, Hummels, Schmelzer; Gundogan. Bender, Kagawa, Mkhitaryan, Reus; Aubameyang

Wolfsberger AC: 4-1-4-1 Formation: Kofler; Berger, Sollbauer, Huttenbrenner, Palla; Standfest, Zundel, Seidl, Putsche, Wernitznig; Silvio

Dortmund left Austria with an away goal and a slender advantage; from here it should be fairly simple for the German giants. They possess attacking talent in abundance and with the much admired Mats Hummels commanding the defensive line do not expect them to be conceding multiple away goals to an inferior side.

The Austrian minnows will travel to Germany looking to relish the occasion of playing in one of Europe’s finest stadiums. They will most likely look to frustrate the German side, keep themselves in the tie and feed off scraps and counter attacks in search of the all important away goal. Continental football can be ruthless, expect this to be no different. Dortmund should comfortably deal with Wolfsberger AC.

We say: Dortmund to win by 3 goals at 10/3 with Bet365
