Getafe centre-back Emiliano Velazquez is available after missing most of last month with a hamstring strain. Left-back Alvaro Pereira also returned to training this week and must pass a fitness test on his thigh problem. Juan Esnaider has no new injury concerns and could name the same starting eleven for the third game in a row. Full-back Roberto Lago is taking it day to day with an injured foot while attacking midfielder Victor Rodriguez remains sidelined with a hamstring strain.
Sporting Gijon manager, Abelardo is waiting for fitness reports on wide players Carlos Carmona and Jony who have been nursing niggles after getting the goals in last weekend’s game against Eibar. Fringe players Dani N’Di and Alex Barrera are close to fitness and the only other absentee is Colombian defender Bernardo Espinoza who has been out since January with a knee ligament injury.
