Getafe are forced into making substantial changes to the side that registered its first win in 14 games on Wednesday. Winger Emiliano Buendia along with defenders Roberto Lago and Juan Rodriguez are suspended for Sunday’s game while Alvaro Pereira and Juan Cala are sidelined with injury. Juan Esnaider will have to shuffle his squad, Damian Suarez is expected to fit in at right-back with Carlos Vigaray switching to the left. Emiliano Velazquez is hoping to be fit enough for defensive duties while Moi Gomez is expected to be sacrificed to allow Stefan Scepovic to partner Alvaro Vazquez up front.
Valencia could go with an unchanged team after leading scorer Paco Alcacer ended a four-month barren spell to score a hat-trick against Eibar on Wednesday. Pako Ayestaran has no new injury concerns and the squad will be boosted by the return of right-back Antonio Barragan who was suspended for the midweek game. Midfielders Denis Cheryshev and Zakaria Bakkali, defender Jose Gaya and forward Pablo Piatti remain on the injured list.
