Saints are coming off of a 3-1 victory over Swansea City and have managed to gather some much needed momentum after being knocked out of the Europa League. The defensive partnership of Jose Fonte and Virgil Van Dijk is a young one, but beginning to show promise, and the Hampshire club has scored 12 goals in their last three games.
You have to be brave to bet against Chelsea at home though and, in the context of modern football management, it is important for Mourinho to find a result from somewhere. This is a match-up that looks well balanced.
