Premier League Preview Manchester United vs Liverpool Prediction

Manchester United have had a fair start to the season winning two drawing one and most recently losing against Swansea, They haven’t really pushed there foot on the gas which is a scary thought, imagine what they could do if they played their best.

United will be boosted that Gea signed a new lengthy contract putting to bed speculation of him leaving on a free at the end of the season.

Liverpool have had an identical season to United in many ways, grinding out results when they had to but they just don’t seem like they have goals in them. Benteke is still settling into the way Liverpool are set up and once he finds his feet he will be unstoppable as long as he can get the service. Liverpool will be without their best player, Coutinho, which will leave the way for a rare start for new boy Ings.

Possible Lineups

Manchester United 4-3-3

Gea; Shaw, Smalling, Blind, Darmian; Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Herrera; Depay, Rooney, Mata

Liverpool 4-3-3

Mignolet; Gomez, Lovren, Skrtel, Clyne; Milner, Leiva, Can; Ings, Benteke, Firmino

  • There have been under 2.5 goals scored in 11 of Liverpool’s last 13 away games in the Premier League
  • Man Utd have won 8 of their last 9 home matches against Liverpool in all competitions.
  • Man Utd have scored at least 2 goals in their last 3 matches against Liverpool in all competitions.

This is always a must win match for both these sides, two of the most decorated football teams in english football still spills over every year and always ends up in a heated exchange.

Manchester United will be hoping talisman Rooney will be carrying on his goal scoring antics against his hometown rivals. Martial is sure to be involved at some point in this match but can’t see it being much more than ten minutes at the end of the game, until we can see the most expensive teenager in English football history.

Liverpool will be hoping they can put the West Ham result out of their minds and tick it off as a bad day at the office. This is a real chance for someone to step up and show Rogers that Liverpool aren’t a one man team.

There should be goals in this match and it could well be end in the style of Creed vs Rocky. On this occasion, Manchester United will be playing the part of Rocky.

We Say: Manchester United to win both teams to score at 10/3 with Bet365
