CSKA Moscow vs Manchester United Prediction and Preview – 21/10/15
Champions League preview – CSKA Moscow vs Manchester United prediction
Experienced defender Vasili Berezutski is a doubt for CSKA Moscow, as is Bibras Natkho, who suffered a concussion. Manager Leonid Slutsky could be tempted to go with the same team which defeated PSV on matchday two, with the only changes being due to the injuries mentioned above.
Manchester United have travelled without Ashley Young, Paddy McNair and Luke Shaw, who are all injured. Bastian Schweinsteiger is also a doubt and there could be starts for Daley Blind at left-back and Michael Carrick in midfield. Ander Herrera should keep his place in midfield following a good display at Everton.
Possible Line-ups
CSKA Moscow: 4-4-1-1 formation: Akinfeev; Fernandes, Nababkin, Ignasevich, Schennikov; Eremenko, Wernbloom, Tosic, Musa; Dzagoev; Doumbia
Manchester United: 4-2-3-1 formation: De Gea; Darmian, Smalling, Jones, Blind; Carrick, Schneiderlin; Mata, Rooney, Herrera; Martial

Prediction
All four teams in Group B go in to matchday three on 3 points and there is all to play for. CSKA suffered a 1-0 defeat at Wolfsburg but responded with a good 3-2 win over Manchester United’s conquerors, PSV Eindhoven. During an excellent opening 45 minutes, CSKA scored 3 goals without reply and despite conceding 2 themselves in the second half, held on for the win. Domestic league form has been very good, sitting top of the table and CSKA are undefeated in their last six competitive games.
Manchester United opened their Champions League campaign with defeat at PSV but bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Wolfsburg at Old Trafford. Manchester United have won five of their last six matches, including a good 3-0 win at Everton on the weekend, yet still seem to really convince that they are going to win a trophy this season. If form this season is anything to go by, Manchester United will either win or lose this game, with draws becoming a rarity.
CSKA will be heading in to this match with confidence but so will Manchester United after their result at Everton. Both teams will have chances in-front of goal and it’s the away team who have the superior talent in that department.
