La Liga preview – Real Betis vs Getafe prediction.

Heiko Westermann and Dani Ceballos return from suspension but Antonio Adan and Alvaro Cejudo are banned after picking up yellow cards against Eibar on Sunday. Dani Gimenez is expected to deputise in goal with Francisco Varela coming in at full-back. Alfred N’Diaye can move up to midfield after covering at centre-back. Betis striker Reuben Castro scored for the first time in five games last weekend and requires two more to reach 20 league goals for the season.

Getafe left-back Alvaro Pereira is expected to start with Damian Suarez switching flanks for the suspended Carlos Vigaray. Defensive midfielder Mehdi Lacen is suffering muscular problems and will be assessed closer to kick off. Stefan Scepovic came off the bench to score the crucial equaliser against Gijon last weekend and is pushing Alvaro Vazquez for the striker’s role.

Real Betis vs Getafe Prediction

Betis have picked up one point in the last three games, from the 1-1 draw at Eibar on Sunday. They had previously lost 2-0 at home to Barcelona after being reduced to 10 men for most of the game. In two preceding homes games, Betis have defeated Las Palmas 1-0 and Levante by the same score. Gustavo Poyet takes charge for the final game and has had a positive effect in the early stages of managing his three previous clubs. Getafe missed the chance to secure survival last weekend when a win against Gijon would have required a freak set of results this Sunday to send them down. Now they go to Benito Villamarin, where they’ve not won since 2010, knowing anything less than victory leaves them relying on results elsewhere. Getafe are undefeated in the last four games and will take confidence from victories in the last two away games, 2-0 at Deportivo and 2-1 at Real Sociedad. With a new manager to impress, Betis should prove tougher than Getafe would have hoped and manager Juan Esnaider may need results at Gijon and Vallecano to go his way.
