Lazio are still without striker Miroslav Klose and defender Stefan de Vrij for this Europa League match. Alessandro Matri and Antonio Candreva are also doubtful for the game, which could mean Lazio start with a similar XI to that which played in Verona on Sunday. However, the likes of Ravel Morrison and Balde Keita will hope to be involved.
Saint Etienne are without Kevin Theophile-Catherine and Benoit Assou-Ekotto is also a doubt. If the latter does not make it, Pierre-Yves Polomat is likely to continue in his place and make up part of a back four which could also include Paul Pogba’s brother, Florentin.

Lazio opened off what could be a tough Europa League group, with a good 1-1 draw at last season’s finalists, Dnipro. Recent league form has also been good, having won their last 2 Serie A matches and some key players are starting to come back from injury. Europa League form at home is very good and Lazio have tasted just 1 defeat in their last 11 home Europa League games.
Saint Etienne were enjoying an excellent start to their season in Ligue 1 and then it all came crashing down with a bump at the weekend, losing 4-1 at home to Nice. Their form had been very good up to that point and perhaps the result was more of a one off than a sign of things to come. Away Europa League form has not been great however, winning just 1 of their last 7 matches.
This has the potential to be a good game but perhaps low scoring, as the visitors look to tighten up after the weekend.
