Premier League football tips – Leicester vs Tottenham prediction

Leicester’s new signing, midfielder Gokhan Inler goes straight into the squad to face Tottenham after signing from Napoli this week. Leicester looking for the third straight win go into this game with only one absentee in Matty James after Christian Fuchs returns fit after illness.

Tottenham striker Harry Kane has recovered from calf trouble, which saw him leave the pitch early against Stoke on Saturday. Andros Townsend is the only absentee for Tottenham this weekend who suffers from an ankle injury, with new signing Clinton Njie being put straight into the squadthough a place on the bench is the likely destination.

Possible Team lineups

Leicester: 4-4-2 Formation: Schmeichel, De Laet, Huth, Morgan, Schlupp, Mahrez, King, Drinkwater, Albrighton, Vardy, Okazaki

Tottenham:4-2-3-1 Formation: Lloris, Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghan, Rose, Dier, Mason, Dembele, Eriksen, Chadli, Kane

  • Since Leicester’s return to the premier league Tottenham have a record of 3 wins and one draw.

  • Leicester have won nine of their last 11 league games matches

  • Leicester have score 11 goals in their last three league games compared to Tottenhams 3.

  • Riyad Mahrez has scored five goals in his last five appearances.

  • Harry Kane scored four times against Leicester last season

  • There was 10 goals in the two league meetings last season

  • There has been over 2.5 goals in three of Leicester last five league games.

As mentioned already Leicester are looking for their third straight win in the league, which they have never achieved in the top flight of English football. Tottenham on the other hand are yet to record a win thus far, hoping to change this at the King Power Stadium this weekend.

Leicester have been no strangers to goals this season, after finishing last season scoring five against QPR. They will look to keep up this scoring prowess against a vulnerable Tottenham side which could see them go top of the table, well at least till Sunday.

Tottenham who only kept four clean sheets last season, recruited massively to their defense this summer but the same frailties showed after throwing a two goal led against Stoke. Pochettino is unlikely to make many changes this weekend, but may risk new signing Clinton Njie to add some pace and fire power to his attack.

We say:  Tottenham to win at 7/4 with Bet365
