Newcastle vs Norwich Prediction and Preview – 18/10/15
Premier League preview – Newcastle vs Norwich prediction
The injuries keep piling up for Steve McClaren and Newcastle United, with the news that goalkeeper Tim Krul will miss the rest of the season after picking up an injury on international duty. There are concerns defensively, with a number of players injured or doutbful and Newcastle will wait until the last possible minute, to get as many players fit as possible.
Alex Neil has a few injuries but nothing compared to that of his opponent. The Norwich boss will have to make do without Gary Hooper, Youssouf Mulumbu and Lewis Grabban for the trip up north. However, all three players would probably struggle to get in to the starting XI at present.
Possible Line-ups

Prediction
Despite picking up a point against Chelsea towards the end of September, Newcastle went in to the international break on the back of a heavy defeat at Manchester City. In both of those matches, Newcastle were in-front but failed to hold on to their lead and with defensive injuries continuing, a clean sheet seems a long way off at the moment. Newcastle have yet to win a Premier League game this season and have also been dumped out of the League Cup by Sheffield Wednesday.
Norwich, on the other hand, have enjoyed a decent start to the season, despite losing their last match at home to Leicester City. Although they suffered a 3-0 defeat at Southampton, Norwich have taken a point off both Liverpool and West Ham away from home and will be confident of doing the same at Newcastle. Having scored 12 goals so far this season, Norwich have the best attacking record of any team, other than Chelsea, in the bottom half of the table.
At this moment in time, considering form and continued injuries, it’s difficult to see Newcastle picking up anything more than a point from this game.
