Premier League preview – West Brom vs Everton prediction

West Brom manager Tony Pulis only has one injury problem to contend with and it’s nothing new, as Ben Foster is the man still on the treatment table. However, there will be many changes from the team which lost at Norwich in the League Cup during the week, with Craig Dawson perhaps being the only man to keep his place.

In complete contrast to Tony Pulis, Everton manager Roberto Martinez has a host of injuries to deal with. Muhamed Besic, Steven Piennar, Bryan Oviedo, Leighton Baines, Tom Cleverley and Tony Hibbert are defintely out. On top of that, two of the regular back four are struggling to make it, they are John Stones and Seamus Coleman plus Kevin Mirallas is suspended.

Possible Line-ups

West Brom: 4-3-3 formation: Myhill; Dawson, Evans, McAuley, Brunt; Morrison, Fletcher, Yacob; McClean, Rondon, Berahino

Everton: 4-2-3-1 formation: Howard; Coleman, Mori, Jagielka, Galloway; McCarthy, Barry; Naismith; Barkley; Kone, Lukaku

Prediction

West Brom’s season took a little bit of a dent on Wednesday night as they lost 3-0 to Norwich in the League Cup, although it was a much changed team which played at Carrow Road. In the Premier League, form has been decent after a poor start and West Brom are now undefeated in 3 Premier League games, winning 2 of them. In addition to this, West Brom have not conceded a goal during those 3 games and have really tightened up defensively.

Since their 2-0 home reverse to Manchester City at the end of August, Everton have remained undefeated in all competitions. In the Premier League, this has included 0-0 draws at Spurs and Swansea plus a 3-1 home win over Chelsea. A win here could propel Roberto Martinez’s team close to the top four in the Premier League and keep their great run of form going but they do have a number of injury problems.

West Brom are yet to win a home game in the Premier League this season and Everton are undefeated away, which suggests the away team could have the edge. However, West Brom have become difficult to break down and this one could end all square.
