Premier League League football tips – West Ham vs Bournemouth prediction

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has a number of injury and suspension concerns ahead of this match. Goalkeeper Adrian is suspended following his sending off last weekend and will be replaced by Darren Randolph. Enner Valencia, Andy Carroll and Joey O’Brien have been joined on the injury list by Mauro Zarate, meaning a possible start up-front for Modibo Maiga.

Bournemouth have Christian Atsu and Shaun MacDonald battling back to fitness in the hope of making the visit to West Ham and could make the bench. However, Harry Arter is still out and that could mean the same starting XI taking the field, that performed well at Anfield on Monday night.

Possible Line-ups

West Ham: 4-3-3 formation: Randolph; Jenkinson, Reid, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Obiang, Noble, Kouyate; Payet, Maiga, Sakho

Bournemouth: 4-4-2 formation: Boruc; Francis, Elphick, Cook, Daniels; Ritchie, O’Kane, Surman, Gradel; Wilson, King

  • West Ham have won 3, drawn 2 and lost 5 of their last 10 matches
  • Bournemouth have won 5, drawn 2 and lost 3 of their last 10 matches
  • Over the course of their previous 10 matches, West Ham have scored an average of 1.1 goals and conceded an average of 1.2 goals per game
  • Over the course of their previous 10 matches, Bournemouth have scored an average of 1.7 goals and conceded an average of 0.7 goals per game
  • There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 5 of West Ham’s previous 10 matches
  • There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 6 of Bournemouth’s previous 10 matches
  • Bournemouth have yet to score a goal in the Premier League this season

After starting the season brilliantly with an away win at Arsenal it was back down to earth for West Ham last week, losing 2-1 at home to Leicester. With Adrian out and a goalkeeper making his Premier League debut, Slaven Bilic will need his back four to be strong, as his team can ill-afford to drop more points at home this early in the season.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe, was delighted with his team’s performance against Liverpool on Monday and rightly so. The 1-0 defeat could easily have been reversed, with some decisions going against Bournemouth but the fact of the matter is, it’s still two games played and two defeats for the Cherries. Howe will be desperate for his team to get off the mark sooner, rather than later.

However, West Ham have the stronger looking team and if they play to their potential, should take maximum points.

We say: West Ham to win and under 2.5 goals at 9/2 with Bet365
