Premier League preview – West Ham vs Norwich prediction

Despite ultimately going down to Leicester in the League Cup, West Ham manager Slaven Bilic will be looking back at the display at Manchester City when selecting his line-up for this one. Therefore, with the likes of Angelo Agbonna, Enner Valencia and Alex Song still injured, it could be exactly the same team which started at the Etihad.

Norwich will have to make do without winger Matt Jarvis, who has been playing well for Alex Neil but can not play against his parent club. Full-back Andre Wisdom is available for league action again but will probably have to settle for a place on the bench.

Possible Line-ups

West Ham: 4-2-3-1 formation: Adrian; Jenkinson, Reid, Tomkins, Cresswell; Kouyate, Noble; Moses, Payet, Lanzini; Sakho

Norwich: 4-4-1-1 formation: Ruddy; Whittaker, Bassong, Martin, Brady; Redmond, Dorrans, Tettey, Howson; Hoolahan; Jerome

Prediction

It’s been a very interesting start to the season for West Ham and the home fans will generally be pleased. Wins at Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City highlight exactly what West Ham are capable of but it’s the results at home which have let them down. Slaven Bilic will see this game as the ideal opportunity to win their second home game of the Premier League season. Goals have been coming easily and Bilic will want more of the same here.

Norwich have done well so far this season and the 3-0 win over West Brom in the League Cup was the third match in a row where Norwich have not been beaten. The 1-1 draw at Liverpool last weekend, will give Alex Neil and his team confidence that they can go at West Ham and get something from the game. However, Liverpool are out of sorts at the moment and West Ham should provide a tougher test.

Norwich are yet to keep a clean sheet this season and West Ham will fancy their chances of grabbing a couple of goals and taking all 3 points.
