Roma vs Inter Milan Prediction and Preview – 19/03/16
Serie A preview – Roma vs Inter Milan prediction.
Francesco Totti has been on the fringes of the Roma side this season and may miss out altogether this weekend after suffering a thigh injury in midweek. Antonio Rudiger and Norbert Gyomber are struggling for fitness while fellow central defender Leandro Castan’s hopes of making the starting lineup took a setback when he was struck with fever. Daniele de Rossi’s availability provides options in defence and midfield where Seydou Keita has been playing alongside Radja Nainggolan for the last two games.
Inter Milan could be without three forwards with leading scorer Mauro Icardi out with a knee injury, Rodrigo Palacio serving a suspension and Stevan Jovetic struggling with a calf injury. It could leave Brazilian striker Eder to play in his preferred position and Jonathan Biabiany returning to the right wing. Jeison Murillo was relegated to the bench last week and is pushing Juan Jesus for the right to partner Joao Miranda in the centre of defence.

Prediction
Roma’s defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League means Luciano Spalletti can focus his players on consolidating their position in the top three of Serie A. Their league form has been irresistible in the past six weeks, winning eight consecutive games. Roma’s home form makes for impressive reading having scored 14 goals in the previous four games with the most recent a 4-1 demolition of fourth-placed Fiorentina.
Roberto Mancini has struggled to find the answers to Inter’s drop in form since the turn of the year. The team’s home form is holding up but has not won away in the league since defeating Empoli 1-0 on 6 January. Inter have earned two points from the last five road trips but go into the game on the back of two successive home wins.
Roma have defeated Juventus and Fiorentina at the Olympic Stadium this season and will be confident they have the measure of Inter on Saturday
